Implementation dates are still under review, in order to make sure that all stakeholders have been identified and notified of the coming changes.

VPN Assessment (March 16, 2015)

During the VPN assessment phase, computers attempting to access VPN will be evaluated by ClearPass OnGuard. Users will be notified as to whether their computer meets NAC requirements.

Either way, users will be granted access to VPN.

ClearPass OnGuard Authentication Required (May 26, 2015)

On May 26, all Windows and Macintosh computers with ClearPass OnGuard installed (if you are a VPN or Eduroam user, you will have ClearPass OnGuard installed) will be required to authenticate with their campus credentials. If you do not authenticate, ClearPass OnGuard will not allow you to access the campus network or VPN.

Wireless Assessment (May 26, 2015)

The wireless assessment phase will last for 30 days. During that period all computers attempting to access the campus wireless network will be evaluated by ClearPass OnGuard. Users will be notified as to whether their computer meets NAC requirements.

Either way, users will be granted access to the campus wireless network.

VPN access control will begin on June 1, 2015. Computers attempting to access VPN will be evaluated by ClearPass OnGuard. Users will be notified as to whether their computer meets NAC requirements.

Computers that do not meet NAC requirements will NOT be granted access to VPN.

Wireless Access Control (July 1, 2015)

Wireless access control will begin on July 1, 2015. Computers attempting to access the campus wireless network will be evaluated by ClearPass OnGuard. Users will be notified as to whether their computer meets NAC requirements.

Computers that do not meet NAC requirements will NOT be granted access to the campus wireless network.

Wired Assessment (TBD)

The wired assessment phase will last for 30 days. During that period computers wired to the campus network will be evaluated by ClearPass OnGuard. Users will be notified as to whether their computer meets NAC requirements.

Either way, users will be granted access to the campus wired network.

Wired Access Control (TBD)

Wired access control will begin on Summer, 2015. Computers attempting to access to the wired campus network will be evaluated by ClearPass OnGuard. Users will be notified as to whether their computer meets NAC requirements.

Computers that do not meet NAC requirements will NOT be granted access to the campus wired network.
