Master's in Education Graduate Survey

In fall 2004, the School of Graduate, International and Interdisciplinary Studies analyzed data from yearly exit surveys administered between 1995 and 2004.  What they discovered was that the Education students rated their educational experience in the Master's in Education programs significantly more positively than the average for all graduate programs on many indicators. The indicators most closely connected to content knowledge would include Overall Quality of Graduate Education, Intellectual Challenge, and Quality of Thesis Advice. The comparison of scores for Master's in Education programs against all other graduate programs for these indicators is presented in Figure 1.1.3. These are ordinal questions using a 4-point scale where 1 is Excellent, and 4 is Poor. Thus, the closer the score is to 1 the more positive the response.
