Chico State Alumni Association Holding Receptions for Homecoming

The Chico Chapter of the Alumni Association, California State University, Chico, will hold three receptions during the men’s and women’s basketball games on Friday, Feb. 1, in Shurmer Gym. The first reception will be held during halftime of the women’s game, the second will be held between the men’s and women’s games, and the third will be held during halftime of the men’s game.

The women’s game starts at 6 p.m., and the men’s game starts at approximately 8 p.m. Members of the Class of 1958 (Golden Grads) who are in attendance will be introduced at halftime of the men’s game.

Although all reserved tickets are sold, there are still general admission tickets available for the basketball games. There are also tickets available for the receptions. Contact Shari Maurseth at 530-898-6472 for reception tickets and the University Box Office at 530-898-6333 for general admission game tickets.

On Saturday, Feb. 2, Golden Grads will attend a luncheon (tickets sold out), followed by the opening of the 1938, 1948 and 1958 time capsules at 1 p.m. The time capsules will be opened in the seating area on the second floor of Bell Memorial Union, and the public is welcome. CSU, Chico moved its homecoming celebration to spring from fall last year.
