Join CSU, Chico Students Saturday in “Walk a Mile, Save a Child”

Students from University Village, California State University, Chico, are sponsoring “Walk a Mile, Save a Child” this Saturday, March 28, at One Mile in Bidwell Park. It is the first annual 5k Walk/Run to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.

The students invite their friends, families and members of the community to join them as they participate in the nationwide effort and the Chico State Up ’til Dawn project to raise money for the childhood cancer research and treatment of children done at St. Jude Hospital.

Registration is at 7:30 a.m., and the start time of the walk is 8:30 a.m. Cost of registration is $10 before the race and $15 on the day of the race. The first 200 participants to sign up will receive a T-shirt.
