The approximately 200 volunteers who have worked on the 2010 CSU, Chico Annual Winter Community Service Project, Catalyst Blitz Build, have been invited to attend a celebration Sunday, Jan. 24, marking the project’s completion.

Over a span of nine days, CSU, Chico students and advising faculty along with industry suppliers, subcontractors, sponsors and many other volunteers have been building two 840-square-foot transitional housing units at 1321 Ivy St. The CSU, Chico project, in partnership with the City of Chico, will benefit Catalyst Domestic Violence Services.

The celebration will begin at 2 p.m. and includes a ceremony where CSU, Chico students will hand over the keys for the two transitional housing units to the Catalyst staff. A barbecue meal catered by the Chico Noon Rotary Club will also be served.
