Museum Without Walls Lecture Wednesday: Patrick Schlemmer of the San Francisco Zoo

The Gateway Science Museum and the College of Natural Sciences at California State University, Chico present “Top 20 Questions I Get at the Insect Zoo,” a lecture by Patrick Schlemmer of the San Francisco Zoo on Wednesday, April 21, 7:30 p.m. The lecture is part of the spring 2010 MWOW Lecture Series. It will be held at the Chico Area Recreation District (CARD) Center at 545 Vallombrosa Ave.

Patrick Schlemmer is president of the San Francisco Naturalist Society, beekeeper for the Coyote Point Museum and long-time keeper in charge of the San Francisco Insect Zoo. He will be discussing the most commonly asked questions he receives at the Insect Zoo.

Admission is $3 for adults; children and museum members are free.

The Gateway Science Museum, located at 625 Esplanade, is now open. Its hours of operation are Wednesday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for museum members.
