Gateway Science Museum Special Holiday Hours and Education Station Activities

The last day to explore our exciting fall exhibits, The Hunt for Treasure!, Past Tents: The Way We Camped, and Earth as Art 3 is December 30.
On Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11, GSM will introduce you to the exciting world of Geocaching. In correlation with our Past Tents: The Way We Camped and The Hunt for Treasure! Exhibits, come help create GSM’s very own geocache to be registered for 2012. Stop by anytime between 1 and 3 p.m.
Join us Sunday, December 11 as Scott Huber, Altacal Audubon, shares bird identification techniques in preparation for this year’s Christmas Bird Count (CBC). From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Huber will provide the history of the CBC and how you can get involved, as well as bird identification field techniques. From 2 to 3 p.m., Scott will lead a practice bird count at the museum and on campus. Dress weather appropriate and bring your own binoculars if possible, we have a limited supply. Space is limited. Free with admission.

Gateway Science Museum is open Wednesday–Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. (note holiday hours the weeks of December 19 and 26 are Mon-Fri., noon to 5:00 p.m.). The museum is located at 625 Esplanade.
