Outstanding Civil Engineering Student Named

California State University, Chico Senior Andrew Langelier of Pioneer has been named an American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 9 Outstanding Civil Engineering Student.

Langelier and one other recipient, from San Diego State University, will receive the honor at an ASCE awards dinner March 9 in Sacramento.

Langelier plans to pursue a master’s degree in civil engineering after his graduation this spring.

Langelier is a past recipient of the Lieutenant Robert Merton Rawlins Merit Award at CSU, Chico. Last year, he was chair of the ASCE Mid-Pacific Conference hosted at CSU, Chico by the University’s ASCE student chapter.
