Novelist Zu Vincent is leading the workshop that will help participants write from their “emotional cores.” You will learn how contemplative writing can enhance health and well being, reduce stress and explore deeper levels of creativity. This workshop offers a gentle approach to self-awareness through expressive writing in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
Vincent holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and has written extensively about various mind/body techniques including the Yoga Journal feature “Gilgoff’s Grace.” Her novel “The Lucky Place” is on the 2011 California Collections list of books recommended for California libraries and is an Honor Book for the Paterson Prize. She makes her living writing, editing and teaching, and speaks at workshops around the U.S.
Vincent’s presentation is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Mindful Campus at California State University, Chico and funded by a CELT (Center for Learning and Teaching) Impact Grant. For further information, contact Margaret DuFon at mdufon@sbcglobal.net or 530-898-6151.
