Gayle Kimball, professor emerita, Department of Sociology, is an author and producer of a number of books, CDs and videos on the use of meditation, visualization and energy as they relate to wellness and healing, including the CD “Meditation with Dr. Gayle Kimball,” the video “Energy Tools for Wellness and Healing” and the book and video “Essential Energy Tools.”
“Chronic stress impairs the immune system, thus leading to disease,” said Kimball. “National statistics indicate that 85 percent of students report feeling stressed on a daily basis and believe that this stress hurts their academic performance. I imagine faculty members are affected in a similar way.”
Kimballs’s presentation is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Mindful Campus at California State University, Chico and funded by a Center for Learning and Teaching (CELT) Impact Grant. For further information, contact Margaret DuFon at mdufon@sbcglobal.net or 530-898-6151.
