The awards were presented at the District VII Annual Conference Awards Luncheon on March 4, 2011, in Los Angeles.
The CASE awards are given for excellence in communications and marketing programs, special program publications packages, photography, design and special events.
There were a record number of entries—388—submitted to the competition this year. CSU, Chico was among the top three award recipients. The University of California, Davis and the University of San Diego each received 12 awards.
The materials submitted to CASE were produced primarily by University Advancement staff with the help of Academic Technology employees and outside consultants over the last year and a half and included a variety of programs and publications. The winning programs and publications include the new Chico Experience Week; the Gateway Museum opening; Chico Statements, the university magazine; the university website; and the Turner Print Museum donor wall.
"The number and breadth of the CASE awards reflect the many university and campus staff who had a hand in the success of these programs," said Vice President for University Advancement Rick Ellison. "These awards are truly a result of a commitment to excellence by everyone who directly or indirectly worked on or contributed to these projects. It is especially rewarding that Chico State has been acknowledged by our advancement professional peers on the CASE VII Board of Directors and selection committees who reviewed the materials."
