Students from Special Events Class To Present ‘Minute to Win’ Fundraiser

A student committee of four members from a Recreation and Parks Management Special Events Planning and Operations class at California State University, Chico will put their learning into action on April 28 when they put on a fundraiser for the student-run Recreation, Hospitality and Parks Society (RHAPS).

The event, ‘Second to RECR It,” will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Services Center Plaza on the CSU, Chico campus. Participation in the games will cost $2 for one game and $5 for three games. The grand prizewinner will win a Nintendo Wii donated by Golden Valley Bank.

Community businesses contributing to the fundraiser, in addition to Golden Valley Bank, include Shamrock Seed Company, Inc., Dutch Bros. and Logan’s Roadhouse.
