Chico State took home gold for “Website Transformation” in the Most Improved category, which focuses on drastic changes to a particular product, such as new logos, website design or take-home materials. Melissa McGowan, marketing director for Regional & Continuing Education said, “The website transformation was a two-year project that rebuilt our site from the ground up. We are very pleased to see that our efforts turned into an award-winning effort.” Gold award winners in other categories include Harvard University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, UCLA and Syracuse University.
The new website for CSU, Chico Regional & Continuing Education was launched in June 2012. The purpose of the website redesign was to improve the architecture, functionality and visual aesthetic of the site, making it more interactive, user friendly and accessible to a wider population. The redesign reorganized content in Continuing Education’s different program areas in a way that best meets the needs of the diverse audiences they serve while establishing a strong sense of their mission through a cohesive brand. Additionally, the website offers greater customization to their audiences through new and improved calendars, photo galleries and course offerings.
