New OLLI Class: Get Ready For Spring With Help From UC Master Gardeners

The class, titled “Gardening Essentials for Small Yards and Patios,” begins Tuesday, March 26, and continues for six Tuesday afternoon sessions. The class will run from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Butte County Library, Oroville Branch, 1820 Mitchell Ave., Oroville.
Topics covered in the class include composting, container gardening, edible gardening in the landscape, irrigation for the smaller garden and choosing the right plant for the right place.
OLLI is a learning-in-retirement program for senior adults and has recently opened a new chapter in Oroville. OLLI offers a diverse educational program of high quality, affordable courses. Registration is $50 for spring and includes classes in Oroville and Chico.
