More than 80 students from California State University, Chico will volunteer this weekend at restoration projects across the North State for National Public Lands Day (NPLD) as a recognized partner with federal agencies. From Sept. 23–25, students from the University’s Field School, the Latinas in Action student club and Alpha Phi Omega coed service fraternity will tackle 10 projects at the Red Bluff Recreation Area and other locations through the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

California State University, Chico’s International Training Office will host a reception on Wednesday, August 10, to honor an educational and cultural exchange that has brought 20 high school students and four high school English teachers from Okinawa, Japan, to Chico State for three weeks.
The public is invited once again to pick peaches beginning Tuesday, Aug. 2, at California State University, Chico’s University Farm. “U-Pick Peaches” will be open 8 a.m. to noon every day through Sunday, Aug. 7.
Beginning Aug. 1, California State University, Chico will accept applications from fully eligible upper-division transfer students for spring semester 2017.
