California State University, Chico is offering a wide range of Halloween activities for students this year to encourage a safe, healthy and fun celebration of the holiday.

Events include traditional fare such as decorating pumpkins, costume contests and scary movies as well as a Halloween-themed “amazing race” and bystander training to aid students going to Halloween parties.

All activities are open to students with a valid Wildcat ID card. A few events, such as a trip to a corn maze in Anderson and a bowling night, require purchasing tickets.

Promoted as “Halloween the Wildcat Way,” the Halloween activities are being sponsored by University Housing and Food Service (UHFS), the Residence Hall Association, UHFS’ Prime Time Productions and Associated Students’ Union Label, which provides event programming.

Below is a list of events, including times and locations. For more information, contact Denise Crosswhite, coordinator for residential life programming, UHFS, 898-6325, or Mark Gorney, program coordinator for student events, Associated Students, 898-5563.
