Nancy grew up in the Bay Area in Berkeley and Oakland.
Nancy did her undergraduate studies in Community Nutrition at UC Davis and received a Master’s Degree from Chico State University in Nutrition Education. Nancy is a Registered Dietitian.
Nancy is the Co-Author of the text Global Food and Nutrition, recently published in August, 2016.
Husband Ken, four adult children (one son and three daughters) and four grandchildren! Ken is a semi-retired rice farmer and a doctoral student at Fuller Theological Seminary in Missiology.
Nancy travels whenever possible with Ken to do Mission work which includes Nutrition Education. Nancy has had the opportunity to teach nutrition in the Terai villages of Nepal. Nancy and her husband are part of a team from Chico who have established an NGO in Nepal, an aftercare home that serves marginalized young women. Other recent travels have included trips to China and Lagos Nigeria.
Past Work Experience
Past jobs have included East Yolo Health Center, Sonoma County WIC, Diabetes Counselor, Clinical Dietitian, Nutrition Instructor at Butte-Glen Community College, and Consultant Dietitian for the Peg Taylor Center Adult Day Health Care.
