Greg Liggett was named Executive Director for the Northern California Natural History Museum in June 2005. He is very excited to be here working on what he describes as an "amazing and ambitious project." Prior to joining us here in Chico, he served as the Assistant Director of the Sternberg Museum of Natural History in Hays, Kansas, where he was instrumental in expanding that museum into a renovated building, increasing that museum's size several fold. Liggett has a wide range of professional experiences in diverse fields including medical technology, civil engineering, professional land surveying, biology and geology. He has authored many publications of various kinds including scientific papers and lectures, magazine, newspaper, and newsletter articles. He is a licensed professional geologist and is active in the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, is a member of the Kansas Museums Association and the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections.
