Our university is hosting a CSU STEM VISTA member for the 2017-18 academic year! The College of Natural Sciences is looking for passionate leaders who want to focus on helping our CSU Chico STEM students. The CSU STEM VISTA program places VISTA members on CSU campuses to serve full-time for one year supporting STEM student success. While a bachelor’s degree is required, it doesn’t need to be a STEM degree. VISTA members are typically recent college graduates with future career interests in education, STEM industry, and/or addressing social justice issues.

The VISTA member will contribute to our efforts of increasing persistence and retention of our STEM students by assisting with the development of our new NSC STEM Learning Center, designing innovative STEM Success Workshops, and implementing an annual STEM Symposium that will introduce students to STEM careers and academic opportunities. The VISTA will have opportunities for mentoring and career planning, leadership skills development, professional development training and networking.

Visit the CSU STEM VISTA website to learn more about the application process, available positions, or the day-to-day activities of CSU STEM VISTA members.
