Holography: Principles and Applications

The Physics Department presents one of their own, Mr. Yuya Ishiwatari. In “Star Wars," the robot R2D2 displays a three-dimensional movie of the princess Leah pleading for help. This display is probably intended to be an example of holography. Currently, holography is used in various fields, and its use is accelerating due to a technological break through. This talk focuses on the basic principles of holography and its application.
