Measuring Distances in the Universe

The Physics Department presents one of their own, Ms. Tiara Diamond. In the last hundred years, astronomers have made the jump from measuring the distance to objects in the solar system to distance measurements in our galaxy and beyond!  This talk will address some of the different ways cosmological distances can be measured.  Additionally, implications of the measurements and possible problems with the methods will be discussed.
