   Funded by the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve student research grant she received spring 2012, MS Geology student Marisol Gonzalez, took her faculty advisor Todd Greene on a two hour helicopter ride this week! Intent on documenting stratigraphy of the Tuscan Formation along Big Chico Creek Canyon and creating aerial geologic photomosaics, she enlisted the help of a very talented pilot of PJ Helicopters, and equally talented volunteer photographer Michael Lang.  More information on her project, titled “High-resolution photo geologic mapping of the Tuscan Formation cliffs in the BCCER and Upper Bidwell Park”, will be presented at the College of Natural Sciences Poster Session in the spring.
