To be certified as a Public Health Nurse, you must be in possession of a valid California Public Health Nurse Certificate issued by the Board of Registered Nursing.

Transcripts

In the Instructions for Applying for Certification as a Public Health Nurse in California, you are asked to submit your official transcripts. If you graduated from CSU, Chico School of Nursing and therefore taken boards in California, there is no need to request transcripts from the School of Nursing to submit them with your application. The Board of Registered Nursing will already have the transcripts of your course work which include public health nursing. However, if you were in the CSU, Chico RN-to-BSN Program, transcripts must be requested through the CSU, Chico Records office. The CSU, Chico Records office processes all transcript requests for the School of Nursing.
