The School of Nursing combines both general and professional education to prepare well-educated citizens who are also professional practitioners. Our program is accredited by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. The baccalaureate degree in nursing at California State University, Chico is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, 202-887-6791. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and to apply for the State of California Public Health Nursing Certificate. The School of Nursing is an integral unit of the College of Natural Sciences at California State University, Chico, and, in accord with the primary goal of the University, provides a quality education. The School of Nursing further subscribes to the University's commitment to serve the population of northern California.
