School of Nursing - CSU, Chico
CSU, Chico baccalaureate graduates are prepared to be the future leaders in nursing and are well regarded in the nursing community.
In recent years there has been high student demand for this major. Students interested in this program should apply during the initial filing period of the admissions cycle (November for any fall semester; August for any spring semester).
Only a limited number of students are admitted to this program for fall and spring semesters. Because of high student demand, nursing has been declared an impacted area of study, and special requirements for application to an impacted program apply. Special selection criteria are used to determine which students will be admitted. Review the information under "Admission Requirements" on the School of Nursing website for more information. The application will be available during the first week of September for Spring applicants and will be available in January for Fall applicants.
See “Requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree” in The University Catalog for complete details on general degree requirements. A minimum of 40 units, including those required for the major, must be upper division.
Transfer students can use assist.org for checking transferable courses from community colleges to CSU campuses. If you can’t find your course listed, e-mail a description of your course to the pre-nursing advisor, Peggy Rowberg, email@example.com.
