Upcoming Group Advising Sessions
The pre-nursing advisor will conduct group advising sessions throughout the Spring 2012 semester. Following are the dates and times of sessions:
Thursday, February 2, 1:00 p.m. - Holt 365
Tuesday, February 14, 11:00 a.m. - Holt 365
Monday, February 27, 1:00 p.m. - Holt 365
Thursday, March 15, 11:00 a.m. - Holt 365

Additional sessions will be added each semester. You do not need to pre-register for these sessions.
Tips for Pre-Nursing Students
All students must declare pre-nursing as their major. You cannot be a nursing major until you have been accepted into the School of Nursing (SON). If you declared another major, and have not changed to pre-nursing, you may have difficulty registering for classes. Many majors require that students meet with advisors every semester or year. If you have not met with your advisor and/or taken courses in your declared major, that major may put a block on your ability to register.
If you are interested in applying to other schools of nursing, visit the BRN Web site for addresses. This Web site is linked to all nursing programs in California. We recommend that you have a back-up plan (other school or major), in case you are not admitted to Chico’s nursing program. Only 1 of every 5-6 applicants is currently being admitted.
