Spend the day witnessing what happens when natural elements above and below the earth’s surface interact at Lassen Volcanic National Park. The park’s crowning feature is Lassen Peak, the largest plug dome volcano in the world, standing at 2,000 feet. The park also features jagged craters, roaring fumaroles, lava pinnacles, and sulfur vents that shoot steam from the ground.
