The Sacramento River is one of the top destinations for students looking to cool off with a leisurely float downstream. Its headwaters are located in Mt. Shasta, and the river runs 382 miles south, right past Chico. Trees, rock beaches, and valley vistas line the river, so grab an inner tube and a few friends and head down River Road to enjoy!
