Chico State hosted the 2009 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Track & Field Championships at University Stadium April 30 through May 2. Eight women’s teams and six men’s teams converged on Chico to brave rainy and windy conditions and record some of the fastest times, longest leaps, and farthest throws recorded in the nation this season. The Chico State men claimed their sixth straight CCAA team title, while the Wildcat women placed third.
