Giving Tree Program Continues Through Dec. 14
Share in the spirit of giving this holiday season by donating a gift to a disadvantaged child through the Campus Alcohol & Drug Education Center’s Giving Tree program.
The program collects gifts donated by students, faculty, and staff and distributes them to children from Touchstone Perinatal Program, Northern Valley Catholic Social Service Teen Parent Program, and Family Solutions — three local Chico non-profit agencies.
Anyone may select a child’s name from one of the Giving Trees located in the BMU, Whitney Hall, University Village, Mechoopda Lounge, Esken Lounge, Konkow Embassy, Shasta Hall, or Lassen Hall. Purchase a new gift for the child you have selected and return it unwrapped to the BMU Information Center by Wed., Dec. 14.
This program is sponsored by CADEC and funded in part by the AS Activity Fee Council. For more information, contact CADEC at 898-6450.

Light Up the Holidays with Candles or Flashlights
Staff Council sponsors various fundraising events throughout the year to raise money to offset the luncheon cost and for recognition gifts for staff. This year we will honor over 100 staff for their years of service and contributions to the university.
In order to assist in our fundraising efforts, Staff Council is offering holiday shopping at your fingertips! Long-burning, fragrant candles are available in a variety of fragrances sizes, styles and shapes. There are also candle accessories, room fresheners, or lotions and shower gels. However, if you are looking for something a little more practical — try a flashlight which generates its own electricity by shaking it. It is ideal for stocking stuffers as it is waterproof, floats, and shock resistant. It is perfect for your home, auto, or boat. The LED light lasts over 100,000 hours. The 7” flashlight has a safety lanyard attached. It is always ready for use no matter how long it has been stored.
Contact your Staff Council member for information Web Site
Pre-paid orders will be taken through Fri., Dec. 2 at 2:30pm. Candle items and flashlight are available for viewing in the Staff Council office.
