March 11
Loves of a Blonde (1965, Czech) 85 min. Directed by Milos Forman. Introduced by Jason Tannen, Art and Art History and University Art Gallery.
With sixteen women to each man, the odds are against Andula in her desperate search for love—that is, until a rakish piano player visits her small factory town and temporarily eases her longings. A tender and humorous look at Andula’s journey, from the first pangs of romance to its inevitable disappointments, Loves of a Blonde (Lásky jedné plavovlásky) immediately became a classic of the Czech New Wave and earned Milos Forman the first of his Academy Award nominations.

CSU, Chico Birding Club Meets March 10

Second meeting of the Spring 2008 Semester, Mon. March 10, 5:15pm in Holt 268

In addition to our ‘regular’ bird related agenda items, we will have a presentation on western Amphibians and Reptiles.

Special Program - Herping CA, NV & UT: A Year in Review
A slide presentation by Jackson Shedd, CSU, Chico graduate student in Biology and author of Amphibians and Reptiles of Bidwell Park. Jackson will take you through some enjoyable herping (searching for reptiles or amphibians) experiences he had over the past year while traveling through CA, eastern NV and southern UT. He takes nothing home from the field except the memories inherent in the photos.

There will be a free raffle (that’s right, free) for super-cool, bird-related (or ‘herp’-related) items!

We are a group of students, faculty, staff, and community members passionate about fostering awareness and appreciation of avian (and other, non-bird critters) biodiversity, natural history, and ecology.

Questions? Contact Shelly Kirn, 898-5757.
