CSU, Chico Offers Trip to Peru and Machu Picchu
The College of Humanities and Fine Arts at California State University, Chico, is sponsoring a tour to Peru, including a visit to Machu Picchu. The trip is scheduled for 11 days, from Jan. 5 through Jan. 15, 2009.
The faculty-in-residence will be religious studies professor Andrew Flescher. He has traveled extensively in Brazil and spent one summer studying wildlife in the Amazon River basin. In January 2008, he served as the faculty-in-residence for the HFA tour to Ecuador, including the Galapagos Islands.
The tour will include three nights in Lima, five in Cuzco and one in Machu Picchu. Guided sightseeing tours include Lima, Cuzco and several Incan ruins, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu.

The Office of Admissions Moving June 23-27
The Office of Admissions will be moving from our present location in Colusa Hall to the new Student Services Center (SSC 130) June 23-27. Campus tours will not be available during this week; tours will start again on Monday, June 30, and will continue to meet at Colusa Hall until Monday, July 7. We will have limited resources during our move; however, most staff can be reached by e-mail. We hope to be in full operation in our new location on Monday, June 30. We appreciate your patience during our move. Thank you.

Academic Calendars
Academic Calendars are available now from University Printing Services in the following sizes and costs:
Small - 8.5 × 11 - $1.00 each
Medium - 12 × 18 - $2.00 each
The calendars can be purchased using a Printing Services CAF, cash or check. (Please remember, we have a $3.00 minimum per transaction.)
We will also offer Extra Large Academic Calendars (17” × 22”) - $6.50 each. Because the calendars are all printed at one time, please get your order in by June 30 so we’ll know how many to print. Your department will not be charged for the calendars until printed which will be sometime in July. Please submit your Printing Services CAF indicating the number of Extra Large Calendars by June 30.

Summer Barbecue, July 3

Faculty and staff are invited to a summer barbecue on Thursday, July 3 on the Kendall lawn from 11:30am to 1pm. Hamburgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs will be served by me and members of the Cabinet. Salads, drinks, and cookies will also be available. It’s a chance to visit with other campus community members as we enjoy the summer season. See you there!
