Recycling Electronic Waste on Campus

As a reminder, California law does not allow the disposal of electronic wastes in the common trash. Computers, monitors, printers, audio/visual equipment and other campus e-waste should be disposed of through Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) after all data has been properly removed. If you need assistance with data removal, please contact your area computer technician or user services at ext. 6000. Call EHS at ext. 5126 or email kkinch@csuchico.edu for more information.

Off Campus: For recycling options and household hazardous waste disposal off campus, you can visit www.recyclebutte.net to find the nearest facility in Butte County.

Defensive Driver Training

The CSU Vehicle Use Policy requires that State employees (including student employees) complete Defensive Driver Training every four years in order to drive a State, rental, or privately-owned vehicle on State business. In an effort to meet the needs of the Campus, the Vehicle Reservations Office is offering Defensive Driver Training each week.

Employees can confirm the date of their last training by inquiring at vehicles@csuchico.edu . Reponses will typically be by return e-mail on the next business day.

Please have your California Driver License number and expiration date, and CSU, Chico employee/student ID number available at the time of the class.

Location and time varies by session. To view the availability of sessions, location, and to register, log into the Web Based Training (WBT) system, click on the Course Catalog menu — the workshops are posted under the EH&S tab. If you need assistance logging into the WBT system, please contact EH&S at ehstrainer@csuchico.edu .

Come see Michael McDonald in Laxson Auditorium, Aug. 19

Join Chico Performances as Grammy Winning R&B artist Michael McDonald hits the stage at Laxson Auditorium on Tuesday, August 19, at 7:30 p.m.

Rhythm and Blues icon Michael McDonald has been a fixture in American pop music for more than three decades—from his time with the Doobie Brothers (“Taking It to the Streets,” “Minute By Minute,” and “What a Fool Believes,”) and Steely Dan (“Aja,”) to his Grammy winning “Yah Mo B There” duet with James Ingram. On tour to promote his newest album “Soul Speak” (a follow up to his recently released Motown albums) the five time Grammy-winner proves that age, at least for him, means not only gray hair, but an enduringly loyal audience who appreciates the Michael McDonald ‘sound.’

Tickets are $47 Premium, $42 Adult, $40 Senior, $30 Student/Child and are available at the University Box Office, 898-6333.

For more information please visit the Web site.
