College of Business Named to Best 296 Business Schools List by Princeton Review
California State University, Chico’s College of Business is among the best business schools in the country, according to The Princeton Review, a New York-based company known for college and career guidebooks, its test-prep courses and other education services.
Included in the just-published 2009 Edition of the Princeton Review’s Annual Best Business Schools, the CSU, Chico College of Business was cited as providing students with “a unique combination of excellent and caring professors, a well-run program, and a great environment that well serves the needs of its part-time and full-time MBA student populations.”
The review conducted a three-year survey of students at the best MBA programs in the world accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and gathered statistical information on many more in order to give readers the widest possible base of information for selecting the right business school for them. According to Robert Franek, Princeton Review vice president-publishing, “We select schools for this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and offerings, institutional data we collect from the schools, and the candid opinions of students attending them who rate and report on their campus experiences at the schools.”

Splat! Annual Pumpkin Drop Oct. 30
One of California State University, Chico’s most popular seasonal traditions returns Thursday, Oct. 30, with the 21st annual Pumpkin Drop at noon on the south side of Butte Hall.
As in past years, CSU, Chico physics students will introduce Galileo Galilei’s legendary visit to the Tower of Pisa to demonstrate his Law of Falling Bodies. Galileo reputedly dropped a large ball and small ball at the same time, and when both hit the ground together, he proved his theory.
CSU, Chico students will re-enact this great moment in the history of science using pumpkins dropped from the top of seven-story Butte Hall.

DHL Service
DHL no longer services the greater Northern California area. This cancellation of service is due to the company’s downsizing throughout the United States. DHL has contracted services with various shipping companies to “fill the gaps” in their delivery zones. This “gap filling” procedure has resulted in: late shipments, inability to accurately track shipments, and an increase in the number of lost shipments. In an effort to ensure the Campus Community does not experience any negative effects of this downsizing; we are requesting that individuals ordering items to be delivered to CSU, Chico please ask all vendors NOT to use DHL.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Shipping and Receiving at Extension 5115.
