This Way to Sustainability IV Conference Presents Six Keynote Speakers
The Fourth Annual This Way to Sustainability Conference will be held Nov. 6-8 (with a Student Convergence on Nov. 9) at California State University, Chico. The conference, co-sponsored by CSU, Chico and Butte Community College, is now the largest conference of its kind in the country. It will feature five keynote speakers and more than 90 workshops on a wide range of environmental and sustainability-related topics.
The speakers include author and economist Michael Shuman; Jeana Wirtenberg, co-founder and director, Institute for Sustainable Enterprise, Fairleigh Dickinson University; Lowell B. Catlett, futurist and Regent’s Professor at New Mexico State University; Roy Beck, founder and president of the NumbersUSA Education and Research Foundation; and Felicity Barringer, national correspondent on the environment for The New York Times.
Workshop topics include such topics as green schools, the green economy, native plants, biofuels, investing in a green economy and taking action.

All Majors Career and Internship Fair, Nov. 5
Please encourage students to attend the Career Center’s All Majors Career and Internship Fair on Wed., Nov. 5 from 10am - 2pm in the BMU Auditorium. Approximately 60 government and non-profit agencies, businesses and healthcare organizations will attend, seeking graduating seniors for career positions and undergrads for spring and summer internships.

Up 'til Dawn is Monday
Mon., Nov. 3, is Up ‘til Dawn. This year CSU, Chico is looking forward to its 3rd national championship. Please come check out this amazing event and remind your students and encourage them to attend. It is Mon., Nov. 3 in Acker Gym from 4pm to Midnight.
Participating is super easy - bring your addresses (50 per person is the goal) and address the envelopes and the pre-written donation letters, the Up ‘til Dawn Exec Board takes care of the rest. There will be tons of free food and prizes. Every 15 minutes raffle prizes (gift certificates to businesses around town) will be given out and at Midnight (must be present to win) a Mac Book, Spring tuition, and a trip for 2 to Las Vegas will be raffled off. Come bring your addresses and be part of one of the biggest events at CSU, Chico.
