A Few Summer Workday Tips from Your EH&S Department
For those of you working in the heat, remember to keep hydrated and seek shade while taking breaks.
For additional tips, please review the Heat Injury Prevention training available via the web on the Learning Management System.
Staying hydrated is also important for those employees working in office settings. It is also important to remember to take frequent stretch breaks and micro breaks. This can help you avoid the fatigue associated with the long summer days.
If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Environmental Health and Safety at 5126.

Free Webinar: People - Difficult or Different, July 1
The Effectiveness Institute is providing a free web seminar that campus employees can participate in:
Why are some clients or co-workers so frustrating to work with? Or more importantly, why would anyone think of YOU as a difficult person? In this interactive and engaging Webinar, you will discover why “different” does not have to mean “difficult.” Then you will learn the magic of making slight adjustments in your awareness and behavior that will have a significant impact on your ability to “click” with customers and co-workers.
Click on the link below to register. This webinar is presented by the Effectiveness Institute, from which we brought Tom Champoux who taught a session on People Skills in April 2009.
