FSC Awards Re-Certification to University Printing Services

University Printing Services is pleased to announce they were recently re-certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Using certified papers is part of the FSC’s world-wide efforts to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests. FSC certification ensures paper has been handled in an environmentally friendly manner in each manufacturing step, from raw forest material to the final printed piece.

To maintain their certification, Printing Services underwent a rigorous audit process which encompassed a site audit of their policies, procedures, records, paper usage, storage and product labeling. The audit report states, “… no corrective action requests are required as all FSC procedures are being followed explicitly. Printing Services is well managed and maintains an organized and efficient shop. The staff and FSC Administrator, Dale Wymore, have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of FSC Chain of Custody requirements.”

As a way to encourage customers to use FSC papers, Printing Services doesn’t charge extra for certified papers, use of the FSC logo, or trademarks. University Printing Services offers this value-added service to promote wise use of resources.

For information about the use of FSC papers, logos or trademarks, please contact Dale Wymore at Printing Services, X5992.

Campus Recycling Services Survey

If you have already completed this survey, please disregard.

In order to provide quality service to the campus, we must receive feedback from as many people as possible.

To help us determine how well we are servicing your recycling needs, please complete a very brief survey.

Your feedback is highly important to us, because you can let us know how our program looks from an outside perspective. Your cooperation and honesty is greatly appreciated. To complete the survey please go to the Web site.

Free Webinar: People - Difficult or Different, August 12

The Effectiveness Institute is once again providing a free web seminar that campus employees can participate in.

Why are some clients or co-workers so frustrating to work with? Or more importantly, why would anyone think of YOU as a difficult person? In this interactive and engaging Webinar, you will discover why “different” does not have to mean “difficult.” Then you will learn the magic of making slight adjustments in your awareness and behavior that will have a significant impact on your ability to “click” with customers and co-workers.

Click on the link below to register. This webinar is presented by the Effectiveness Institute, from which we brought Tom Champoux who taught a session on People Skills in April 2009.
