Workshops
Volunteer-Service Learning Experience in Bangkok, Thailand
The School of Social Work at CSU, Chico is partnering with Cross Cultural Solutions (CCS), a non-profit organization (www.crossculturalsolutions.org), for a two-week Volunteer-Service Learning experience in Bangkok, Thailand.
This opportunity is offered to current students and Alumni of the CSU, Chico School of Social Work BSW and MSW programs, CSU, Chico Students in Related Departments, Social Service Community Field Agency Personnel, and CSU, Chico Faculty.
The estimated program fee is $2,477.52, not including airfare from the United States to Bangkok, Thailand. The tax-deductible program fee, paid to CCS, includes a “home-base” that provides all lodging including air conditioning/internet/linens/meals, transportation to and from field sites and cultural activities, cultural activities/fieldtrips, and health insurance with emergency evacuation. Three hours of Special Topics (SWRK 398 or 698) are available for current students for Spring 2010 enrollment or for other participants though Continuing Education. Participants who are not current CSU, Chico students are not required to enroll in the course. Note: Deadline to reserve participation at group rate - September 10, 2009.

New State Travel Policy and Training
On September 1, 2009, the Chancellor’s Office is implementing a new system wide travel policy. There are significant changes that apply to meal reimbursement rates, receipt requirements, foreign travel as it relates to fringe benefit reporting requirements, and mileage reporting requirements from the CSU, Chico Sustainability Office.
Training on the new policy is being offered the last week of August (25th and 27th) and the first week of September (1st and 3rd). If you process State travel for yourself or others on campus, it is recommended you attend one of the training sessions.

F/S and R Academic Parking Permits
Parking privileges for holders of the academic year permits will resume on Monday, August 17, 2009.
On that date, all permit holders must park in the designated area as indicated by their permit type. For example, R1 in the R1 lots, R2 in the R2 lots, F/S in the F/S and G lots, etc.
If you have any questions, please call the Cashiering Office at extension 5936 or Parking Enforcement at extension 4809.
