What Is The Faculty Expert Database?

The Faculty Expert Database is a list of CSU, Chico faculty who have volunteered to make themselves available to answer questions about their fields of expertise. The database is not a complete summation of scholarly strengths of the CSU, Chico faculty, nor does it include every faculty member.

Note: This is a temporary search tool while a new search engine that can provide more tailored results is developed. A search for a particular faculty member or area of expertise will result in a file that contains members of his or her department. To search the department file for the specific name or area of expertise, use the "Find" function (Ctl + F).

Users

The subjects listed are oriented toward areas of traditional interest to reporters. If you are researching a topic not listed, feel free to contact the public affairs office for assistance.

How to find the information you want

• Information is listed in this order: Name, title and department; highest degree earned and university where degree was earned; areas of expertise; contact phone number.
• Faculty are listed under their department and school or college. Faculty who are directors of centers are listed with the center below.
• A list of degree abbreviations and full degree titles is also available from this page.
• All phone numbers are office numbers. All have 530 area code and 898 prefix.
