Founders Week
Founders Week is an annual spring celebration of California State University, Chico’s achievements and traditions. Founders Week traces its roots back to 1909, when Charter Day was first held to remember the early days of the Normal School and to memorialize John Bidwell and distinguished deceased members of the faculty and trustees.
This year, Founders Week takes on special meaning because the University is celebrating its 125th anniversary. The 2012 Founders Week is highlighted by Chico State Expo 125, a community open house on April 14. For all Founders Week events, April 7-15, check the calendar to the right.
