FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Future of Music Coalition Director Visits CSU, Chico Jenny Toomey, executive director of the Washington, D.C.- based Future of Music Coalition will be speaking at California State University, Chico on Oct. 23 in the Performing Arts Center, (PAC) room 134 from 12:30-1:45 p.m.This open forum presentation will focus on digital technology, artists' rights, the music industry and its future. There will be a question-and-answer session immediately following. Toomey, also a singer/songwriter, has just released Antidote, a two-CD compilation on the independent Misra label, and is currently on a fall lecture tour which includes such campuses as American University; Temple University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, Berkeley; University of Michigan; University of Texas, Austin; and CSU, Chico. The forum is sponsored by the CSU, Chico Music Department in conjunction with the Music and Entertainment Industry Student's Association.
