Freshmen: Earn $25-Participate in Pilot Test,Win iPod!
This announcement is for FRESHMEN students only.
Freshman, you have an opportunity to receive a $25.00 gift certificate from giftcertificates.com and a 1 in 50 chance of winning a 20 GB iPod. All you have to do is answer the phone when we call you and donate 2 1/2 hours of your time on an up-coming weekend in February or March at which time you will complete an online information and technology test being piloted by the ETS: Educational Testing Service.
Our initial contact with you will be via telephone during the next few weeks, and our biggest concern is that you do not confuse our calls with telephone solicitations from commercial or other non-educational telemarketers. You will be contacted by fellow CSU, Chico students who will identify themselves clearly and will then explain our pilot test and what you can gain by participating.
In addition to the prestigious of being one of a select few students who will be invited to participate, after successful completion of the 2 Ω hour online test you will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to a website called giftcertificates.com, which is actually a clearinghouse for many online merchants.
However, we believe your biggest incentive is that your name will be entered into a drawing where you’ll have a 1 in 50 chance of winning a 20 GB iPod worth approximately $299.00 dollars. We will give away 5 iPods at Chico State, provided we get 250 students to participate. [Keep in mind that in order to draw a statistically significant random sample of students, you cannot volunteer for this project. You must be contacted by us first.]
Thank you for your assistance in this important project.
