Work Study Position Available
Work-Study Receptionist/Customer Service Specialist position is available in the Student Activities Office, 15-20 hours per week. Position starts at $7.75/hr.
Training hours this semester are negotiable, but will work into 15-20 by summer.
Preference will be given to students willing to arrange Fall ‘07 class schedule with existing student assistant in order to cover all hours the office is open 8am - 5pm Monday-Friday. Must be available to work during summer and intersession, and interested in a long-term position. Qualifications must include good communication skills, grammar, phone, and computer skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Kappa Delta Pi Children's Book Drive
March 2nd - April 27th
Kappa Delta Pi, National Honor Society for Future Teachers, is holding their first Children’s Book Drive to raise books for an annual literacy program to be held at Rosedale Elementary School. Books collected through the drive will be donated to the children at Rosedale Elementary here in Chico. Any and all children’s books, new and used, are welcomed.

You will learn how to create a simple Power Point presentation from a template, by using AutoContent Wizard and by using existing slides.You will also learn to modify, format, customize your slides for presentations, create hyperlinks, how to format a PowerPoint presentation for the Web, printing techniques, how to deliver your presentation as well as how to manage your PowerPoint presentation files. New course offered for May/June intersession: Women and Music, MUSC 398-101, 3 units
This class will undertake a general study of selected women composers, musicians, conductors, and teachers in music from the last 200 years, using composition, literary writings, performances, and other documentary materials. Their significant musical contributions, as well as the political, social, and cultural impact of their works will be discussed. Class runs from May 21 to June 6, MWTR from 9am - 1:30pm in PAC 116. Relay For Life Fund Raising Begins
The largest fundraising event in Chico is coming to University Stadium June 9 and 10. Please help support Team Wildcat in their efforts for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.
Members are selling opportunity drawing tickets to win one more than 25 prizes including a $500 certificate from Esplanade Furniture, a bicycle from Campus Bikes. a ride on a Cessna plane, one night at the Hotel Diamond, and many more. The drawing will be on June 9 at the relay, but you need not be present to win. Tickets are $1 each or 15 for $10, and are available through team members.
Donation canisters are also placed in offices around campus. Canister funds will go towards luminaria candles at the relay to honor university personnel who have had cancer. The office which raises the most money by March 29 will win a pizza party.

Volunteers Needed for the Ch*Eco Film Fest April 11-15
April 11-15 marks the first Ch*Eco*Film Fest, A Festival of Film and Art. This five day event is a collaborative effort of the Chico community and CSU, Chico campus. The event will be filled with fun, eye-opening and educational films, art displays and events.
Your enthusiasm is very much needed to act as a volunteer to staff the events throughout the Film Fest and let others know that this opportunity is available.
If you are interested in being a volunteer please come to the first volunteers meeting which will take place Wednesday, March 28 at 5:30pm in the Faculty/Staff Dining Room on the CSU, Chico campus (the Faculty/Staff Dining Room is the room in the back of Sylvester’s Café right on the creek, the campus map is available online). If you would like to volunteer but are unable to make the meeting please let me know and I will be sure to keep you updated.
