PAU'S  MISSION

  The Pan African Union (PAU) is a student organization that offers support to people of African Decent at CSU, Chico.  Through cultural, political, and academic awareness, we strive to promote unity amongst PAU members and black faculty and staff as well as with other student organizations on campus and in the Chico community.  We celebrate black History and through PAU sponsors events we play a part on bringing about positive change in the black Chico State and Chico communities.  The PAU is open to all students regardless of race, creed, color, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation.

PAU'S  PHILOSOPHY

  This organization seeks to maintain Umoja (unity) in all endeavors and among African American students.  Through this partnership, we enable the continuation of African American achievement, and help facilitate a greater appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity amongst all students and communities. 

PAU'S  OBJECTIVES

  To educates the masses on social and political issues in the black community.  To involve the community through outreach and community service.  To be a support group for African American students, faculty, and staff and to all of our underrepresented students here at Chico State.
