As previously announced, the Warrens Center will undergo a ‘refresh’ to bring back the building’s historic character and enhance it for event use.

The work will include improvements to the house and the grounds. The interior of the house will receive new paint and lighting, and upgrades to the kitchen, as well as the removal of the elevator, which will bring the study back to its original (historic) use. The exterior of the house will receive a new front door that fits the historic character of the house, repair of windows and doors, paint, and a new outdoor patio area and landscaping. See map here for perimeter construction fencing plan and construction access across Campus.

Phase 1, Site Construction: Will begin on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. The work in this phase will be limited to site work and will include fence removal, paving demolition, and landscaping.

Phase 2, Building Construction. The ‘refresh’ to the house is currently under review by the State Historic Preservation Officer for compliance with guidelines related to state historic resources. No work will be done on the house until that review is complete.
