About the Office of Employee Relations

The Office of Employee Relations works in collaboration with the campus community to ensure the University's compliance with state and federal laws and collective bargaining agreements affecting recruitment, appointment and other conditions of employment.

The Office of Employee Relations is the primary resource to managers in dealing with staff grievances and complaints, disciplinary and performance issues.

Individuals with concerns of discrimination or harassment are encouraged to contact the Office of Employee Relations by calling 530-898-4666, emailing Tami Toon at ttoon@csuchico.edu, or visiting Kendall Hall 118.

In addition, individuals may make a protected disclosure of suspected improper governmental activity or condition that may significantly threaten health or safety to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources in the Office of the Chancellor (562-951-4455) or by contacting the campus representative Dani Ritlaw.

Employment of Non-US Citizens

In addition to the standard documents required for citizens of the United States, International Employees will also need to provide the Employment Practices Office (Kendall 118) with the following documents:

  • Visa
  • I-94
  • I-20 or IAP-66 (if applicable)
