Technology issues pervade life in the twentieth century, though it is well to remember that the majority of people in the world have not yet heard a telephone dial tone. The selection of sites below is not intended to be biased for or against any particular technology, but it may represent some viewpoints more than others, depending upon what comes to our attention. For instance, technology companies will be well-represented because they are investing in ways of using the Internet for business, while individuals and organizations critical of particular technologies or of technology in general have been less likely to maintain a Web presence.
