The table below presents a list of parameters for critical thinking assessment. The values to the right represent possible scores one could obtain by completing some part of this project's critical thinking assessment instrument. All parameter scores are numeric values with a range from 1 to 5. These numbers may reflect performance on tests of objective skill or the judgments of reviewers evaluating essay items. Assessment results are reported in this way to facilitate diagnostic work. Reports for groups would include standard deviations. Since this instrument is designed to establish mastery of skills to a certain level, measures that evaluate parameter tests for ability to differentiate respondents are not especially relevant for these reports.
