Brooke Moore, Professor

Brooke Moore received a B.A. in music from Antioch College (1966), and a Ph.D. in philosophy from The University of Cincinnati (1972). His published books include The Philosophical Possibilities Beyond Death, Making Your Case (with Pamela Spoto), The Cosmos, God, and Philosophy (with Ralph Moore), Critical Thinking (with Richard Parker, now in its 11th edition), The Power of Ideas (with Ken Bruder, now in its 9th edition), and A Comprehensive Introduction to Moral Philosophy (with Robert Stewart). He was one of the first group of university Master Teachers, and was selected the university's Outstanding Professor in 1996/1997. He has also served the university as a department chair of the philosophy department and interim chair of the history department; and was the first (and last) university mentor of new members of the faculty.
