Strong Interest Inventory, Administration and Interpretation

The Strong Interest Inventory is a questionnaire that inquires about your level of interests in occupations, occupational activities, academic subjects, hobbies, leisure activities and types of people. Your answers are compared to the pattern of interests of people working in various occupations who are satisfied with their jobs and are doing well in them. You will receive a computer-generated report that will suggest occupations and academic majors for you to explore and evaluate.

Register and pay for the inventory by going to the Career Center, SSC 270, or by calling 898-5253. The fee is $10.00.

You can take the assessment on the computers in the Career Exploration Center any time during our office hours, but you need to take it at least 2 days prior to the interpretation date.

Please allow one hour for both the administration (taking the assessment) and the interpretation (getting the results).
